Rather than conducting labour market analysis (LMA) surveys and forming curriculum advisory committees (CACs) in an attempt to ensure industry changes are reflected in upgraded curricula, this presentation will provide an alternative approach. The case study shows the mutual benefits that can be developed between institutes and industry.
From 1990 Vicki has been designing and developing competency standards, curricula and assessments to meet industry needs. Her skills have been used by Ministries, industry, TVET, tertiary and high schools in Afghanistan, Australia, Canada, China, Egypt, Kiribati, Kuwait, Pakistan, PNG, Timor-Leste, and USA. Vicki is a recognised education, TVET, capacity building and research expert.
